| Affine Kac-Moody algebras are infinite dimensional analogs of semi-simple Lie algebras and have a central role both in Mathematics (Modular forms, Geometric Langlands program...) and Mathematical Physics (Conformal Field Theory...). These lectures are an introduction to the theory of affine Kac-Moody algebras and their representations with basic results and constructions to enter the theory. |
